What should I do if my Hotmail account is blocked?

 In recent years, the Hotmail/Windows Live services have been expanded by Microsoft to add an

impressive variety of browser-based services. You would think this is a pretty good thing with so many

free features.  However, when your account is blocked, what happens to your emails and data?

Don't worry, you are not the first one whose Hotmail account is blocked. A significant proportion of Hotmail users complain of getting their accounts blocked. 

To unblock your account follow these steps:

Step 1: To recover your account, first of all, go to the reset password page and reset your password.

Step 2: Here you have to enter the email address of the account that is blocked.

Step 3: Furthermore, you have to enter the characters that you see on your screen before clicking on

Next.

Step 4: After clicking next, you have two options of either entering the code that is generated by an authenticator app. Another option is selecting Use a different verification option through which you will get a text message.

Step 5: Last, but not the least, you have to enter the security code here. Also, you have to change your

password to further complete the process of unblocking.

1. Requesting for a new password: Request that alternate email address that is entered by you

earlier be sent with a new password. Usually, this is needed when you register for the Hotmail

email address is not in use for a longer time. If this doesn't happen, contact Hotmail support

2. Go to the troubleshooting page: Often it's not your account that is facing the problem, but the

device configuration. So what you should do is, use a separate device to access your Hotmail
